Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August 15, 1769 in Ajaccio on the Mediterranean island of Corsica.

But the options given by you-I would like to say France.

(Through his military exploits and his ruthless efficiency, Napoleon rose from obscurity to become Napoleon I, Empereur des Francais (Emperor of the French). He is both a historical figure and a legend—and it is sometimes difficult to separate the two.)

Actually, it's none of the above. Corsica, which is now basically controlled by the French, was actually part of Italy in 1769 when Napoleon was born. Also interresting, his real name was Napoleone, but the last e was dropped when he went to France to study in a military academy. He became the emperor of France, but was not born a frenchman.
