I imagine being the cartoon character known as saint Profilacticus. His mission is to promote monogamous loving relationships and to protect the gay community from sexually transmitted diseases. He would counsel young people to find ways to love and respect each other and to promote tolerance, love and acceptance; it doesn't hurt to be nice to others and not every act of kindness has to lead to sex. Saint Profilacticus lives in a bus that drives all over the place and he has no fixed address. His work is never done but it is rewarding and he often makes friends of all ages wherever he goes. That's who I'd like to be if I were a gay cartoon character! I would call you Riko for short. Hope you had a great day today, dear Tris. As the year comes to a close, I am working hard to make money for the Spring semester. Time for bed soon. Love to all, ~Rob

Northstar from Marvel's Alpha Flight was one of the first admittedly homosexual super heroes.

They also tried to make Superman homosexual, back when he temporarily lost his powers. They were trying to make it seem that he got an energy boost from Starman whenever they were close together, since Superman gets his powers from the sun and Starman gives off solar energy. The idea was to make Superman 'feel good' when he was with Starman and not know why. Fortunately, they brought that storyline to an end, and Superman recovered his powers without Starman's help.

There have been plenty of animators and artists and entertainment company executives who either are homosexual themselves or just want to jump on the bandwagon to make money off homosexuals by catering to them. They promote ambiguous characters like the Teletubbies and Spongebob and try to make it seem as though Batman and Robin were homosexual, in order to make it sound more familiar and more ordinary to people.

It doesn't necessarily mean that those executives are homsexual. They are just unscrupulously trying to make bucks off of homosexuals.
