Two types of darkness.
I was with a group of men and one of them tallked about his abusive ex-girl friend who didn't want to stay EX. They always fought. He told us that in the heat of their conflict, he turned into a person he did not recognize. Normally he was "nice", even timid. Always proper. In these conflicts, he was violent and cold-hearted and capable of anything. He told us that that was simply not him. It scared him that he had acted that way, but that was definitely not him. I told him that was him. I told him we all have dark sides. Another man agreed with me. We told this guy that though it is shocking, the experiences with his ex pushed him into his dark side. I have heard this time and time again, "That was not us." or "That was not me." Yes it was you. We all have a dark side whether we want to believe that or not. Most people don't want to believe it. We are capable of anything if two things occur: 1) There is no immediate restraint, and 2) We slide that way slowky enough to numb the conscience - like the frog slowly boiling to death. This darkness is predatory.
There is another darkness that instead of violence, is the deepest darkest black hole of depression. Activities become meaningless. Life becomes pain, and is no longer an option. Suicide or God is the only answer and the only escape from that black hole. I say that because suicide is the only option we think of, but sometimes, sometimes God intervenes. This darkness is personal.

Hating the time I have to spend here, the crap that's happened to me, the tests I have been given, I ve had the world in my hands so many times, and I still can't grasp, why. Love has not been good to me in an earthly sense, in a spiritual way I've have been blessed, what i just ...know ..in my head ,as from my ear to Gods, just blows me away. Keeping myself in check, and not losing it, is my dark side. But its getting better.

i don't think i have a dark side!i am always kind with others and try to help,maybe i yell sometimes if is that consider a dark side of me

My dark side show when someone got to fight with me. My dark side is letting someone fall into my pit.
