I have had them all my life and wear sunscreen every day and makeup.
Yet as a makeup artist, some folks really "want them".
The best thing is the "eye brow" pencil, use several colors for a real effect [ light brown (blond), red, dark brown] sharpen them to a fine point.
I normally will take a picture of your face with a Polaroid, mid day, with you looking into the sun ( eyes closed) with a bare face ( no makeup)...if you have any(any) flaws it will be there then, and you can "map out" the freckles.
The most realistic thing is "less" is more. The cheeks and a few on the nose ( it is "how" the sun casts lights across your face. I also will use a light sweep of bronzer under the fake freckles..to show exposure to sun. These are not "perfect" so make them look real, get a copy of a pix of someone with them.
If you have access to a black light, that will show ANY skin flaws, yet you can't take a picture with that type of light.
Try your best to NOT look like orphan Annie or Heidi from the alps.
Happy spotting!

haha... you're gonna laugh...
(i have freckles). when i was in junior high i got a pretty bad sunburn on the bridge of my nose that caused that area to NOT have freckles afterwards. it was really obvious and embarassing.
i found that using crayola's brown marker, you can draw on freckles that match perfectly (at least, they did match mine). however, these have sort of an "expiration date". after about 4 hours the color starts to turn slightly redish. they seem to withstand sweat if you don't touch them. they wipe off very easily with a bit of water and then you can reapply. So you can do that in a shower stall with a hand mirror for some privacy.
it really works. try it. Crayola brown marker. doesn't matter if it is the skinny one or the fat one.
draw them >not< as perfect circles. and i probably wouldn't do it if you're going to do MORE than a small area on your nose (i.e. don't do your whole face or else someone will notice.
you might want to add the "freckles", let them dry for about 5 minutes, then do a light dusting of powder to lighten them. do that for a few months and others will begin to think they actually ARE YOUR freckles. then you surely won't need the powder.

I honestly dont think there is a way to get them at all. I have them on my nose and I hate them. You can sit in the sun and it brings them out but if that doesnt work then you can not have them. You can have mine though ;-)

Use an eyebrow pencil and draw them on - then you can remove them easily when you are fed up with them.

cover your nose with sticky tape, poke small holes in the tape where you want the freckles and apply self tanning cream.
