hai sai
you have entered into a very good field
no field can compensate this field
who told you that you have no opportunities
you can develop yourself as well as your surroundings only when u r in touch with ur field
u can study computer languages at anytime ofcourse it should develop ur knoweledge but not the other way
Try to read newspapers see opportunities
have a good luck

k...now you studied biochemistry, microbiology, chem for a long duration i.e..,for about three years..now if you jump into the computer field ,then the knowledge which you gained till now will not be of any use..in my opinion i think the better choice is not to jump into someother field...better try for the opportunities in your field...though it takes more time to find opportunities, you will have better future as you have gained a lot of knowledge regarding your subjects...
so., think carefully and decide your future....
hope that you take a right step...
all the best..

It would be better if you stick to you course. But if you feel strongly about it, then go ahead and follow your heart and ambition.
