it stands for Public Relations Officer........his job is to coordinate relations with the public and give way to information from the office bearer...it is a challenging job as it requires good skills in handling information as to policies being worked upon , plans being implemented , allocations etc. they are generally attached to senior level officials or to govt. departments etc.
