Yes you can ... but not System files, current Program Files or Windows files ... most likely the files you can move are any Pictures or Music files you have in your My Documents folder
Any NEW programs you install ... install to the D: drive and NOT C: ... or you could use a 3rd party tool like Partition Magic and make your 5GB partition 20GB or even 40GB and leave your D: drive purely for all your Data

First of all, if you computer inside have 2 hd, i recommend installing a OS in 10GB or higer :)
if you computer have 1 hard drive inside your computer and partition in 2 drives C: and D:
then yes you can do that by reformating and re partition over agian, if you dont' wnat to reformat you can use paritionMagic it's a software that can do, but its not as effieinct as a new clean parition.
If you computer has 2 Hard Drive inside, then No u can't transfer GB into another drive
Goodluck :)

I do not think so without cleaning all out of your partition C I would be more inclined to make folders in D and transfering any thing you like across from C to D Otherwise get a removable hard drive and transfer every thing out reformat the original into 2 reasonable similar sized partitions and re transfer from the portable hard drive into your new C and D partitions

if you have things like mp3's or mpegs you can certianly move them to the D drive but you will not be able to transfer whole programs that normally run on your C drive(or it will take more work than i know or care to give)
