I style of prefer the two. I mean i'm able to stay with style of corny if the melody is sweet adequate, yet, properly, i think of Fergie is an stunning occasion of catchy melody, respectable vocal skills and the main horrid lyrics i've got ever heard. i can't hear to her track with the aid of lyrics. on the comparable time, i've got heard some metallic songs with rather considerate lyrics and a melody, that properly, sounds like cats in an alley (and usually the vocals do, too).

When you listen to a song, it pertains to listening the sound of the melody, when you sing a song, it pertains to the essence of the lyrical composition accompanied by the melody. That's awesome music.

melody, no question. If you can't tap your foot - who cares about lyrics. Duran Duran made a nice living with catchy melodies and the dumbest lyrics ever written.

It depends. I usually start by how the intro sounds good then the words...but if the singer sounds like crapp then i'll just change it, unless i know that the lyrics are good then that's a whole 'nother storyy.
