should I tick the box verbrose when running a system configuration?

A "Verbose" installation just gives you a more detailed description of what the install files are doing .... 99% of us don't know what the hell they mean anyways so NO you can just do a normal install and save yourself some time :)

Do you mean msconfig? attempt deselecting all of them or deselect all of them - separately - to be sure if it makes any distinction. it must be a competent theory to depart the anti-virus technique on my own nonetheless.

"verbose" usually means the program will tell you what it's doing as it does it. It won't affect what actually happens. I would.
