I think the threat is real. I dont like them being used to scare me into voting for a certain party. We are americans and that is why terrorists hate us, not because he have a republican president or a democratic congress. I think the money spent in Iraq could have been spent here and virtually eliminated the possibility of a terrorist attack here again.

Actually for once they are trying to make people understand that it is a real threat. I don't understand how folks freak out that a drug kills maybe 6 or 7 people but saves 10's of thousands then the public demands it be removed and sues for millions. 6 or 7 people get sick from spinach and we have to dump tons of it in the garbage. So thousands die from terrorist attacks but people claim it's a government conspiracy?

Ya your government is trying to scare us. Remember the terrorist dont attack a fair government. If the government did anything unfair to Muslims then the so called terrorist dont sit watching up.
You know US is the most hypocritical government in the world. thats why Al Qaeda wants to attack it.

No they are simply saying what Nick Griffin and the BNP has been warning about for years!! Who knows if the Yorkshire police had not spent all those police hours and millions of tax payers money on their 'witch hunt' they may have been able to stop what happend on 7/7....the truth may never be known!!!! Now in contrast....because a government back agency comes out with these warnings it's O.K!?!?!?Smacks of double standards to me!

Probably. A Scottish newspaper columnist has suggested that governments deliberately promote fear in order to get unchallenged power. Some months ago, similar was said in a three-hour TV documentary, called THE POWER OF NIGHMARES, The Rise of The Politics of Fear. see Internet.

The government is not trying to scare us but to take precautions. In case one of these days the terrorist really take action against us, at least we know what to do and how to protect our family members at the least. We will not be left in lurch waiting for other people to help us instead we will be able to help each other.

i'm purely happy the information is they stuck 21 people not that they recognize there are 21 people accessible. i might want to assert today plane shuttle is going to be the safest thanks to flow, more effective than it already replaced into. no human being is going to attempt something on a plane now, even as they ought to flow by all the protection. i might want to be extra anxious about what the secondary plan replaced into, not what the familiar plan replaced into. Terrorism is there to terrorize and that is what they're doing, purely p.c.. your bags otherwise and get there earilier and each and every thing else will be high-quality.

Here's the thing. These threats are not new. They are very old. Try the Crusades. We get death threats every day from even crazy Americans wanting to blow up the world.
The FEAR and its uses are somewhat new. Scared people are obedient and don't ask too many questions.
