No. I'm a voter in California, & we had this proposition proposing that we tax the oil companies [without imposing a cap on price hikes]--bad idea. It was defeated & neither the oil companies nor the politicians have increased our gas prices. On the contrary. Where i live, the gas price has actually gone down since the election!!

Yes! And it is all the Democrat's fault!!!

OK, that does sound a bit ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as everyone blaming other high prices on Bush. Let's quit pointing fingers and just live our lives. We have the opportunity every 2 years to shape our own nation with our voting privilege. (Yes, I know it's our Constitutional Right, but it is also a privilege.) In 2 years, we will make up for the problems that occurred this time around just like we did in the 90's.

Before the elections it was the arabs increasing the price of oil by manipulating free markets.
After the elections it will be our own govenments increasing taxes that will cause the next round of increases.

It's great to be lead by the likes of Pelosi and Dean.

Not yet too soon. Your going to see an increase on the heating fuel first. Before Bushism you would see the fuel prices go up in May and down after labor day.
