It's a little unclear from your question, but I'm assuming you're talking about the college interview process. As someone going through that myself at the moment (I had my first yesterday) here are a few tips:
1. Be yourself!
Okay, okay, this isn't especially helpful, but it's essential. If you're pre-rehearsed, you'll sound stiff and unnatural, and your interviewer will be able to tell. Let the best parts of your personality shine through - think of it as a conversation rather than an interview.
2. Demonstrate a passion for something.
Colleges want INTERESTING people. Most college interviewers don't see your GPA or scores, so right now it's just you who matters. It doesn't matter what your extra-curriculars or interests are as much as it does that you're able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for them. Show that you have a spark that sets you aside from all the other applicants. Be prepared to answer a very vague prompt such as, "Tell me about yourself."
3. Know about the school.
Interviews can be unpredictable, but one question that you're absolutely going to get is, "Why here?" Be ready. Have a good answer that shows that you've thought about the school and know what it's like and how it presents itself.
4. Have questions of your own.
Most interviewers will ask if you have any questions about the school. As I've said above, you should have some that show you've already done some research of your own.
5. Watch your speech.
Most people have a speech tic, such as using "like" or "um" as a filler between words. (I have a tendency to end my sentences with "basically" or "you know".) Have a friend or someone you trust listen to you (actually, a practice interview of any sort is not a bad idea) and let you know what yours are so you can work to avoid them.
5. Present yourself well.
This should be a given. Dress nicely - no jeans or t-shirts, no matter where the interview is. Have your hair brushed, your nails clean, and all that. First impressions, for better or worse, really do matter.
Good luck!
