Well, I think it is because of egocentrism and or stupidity. They have not the capacity to learn, nor the intelligence to know that they know not. Maybe some simply are too lazy or again, stupid to care.
I can not call them silly Prats because these dullards often are too low on the Brain Chain to be bright enough to rank with complete prats.

You are using the word ignorant like it is a bad thing. Obviously you are ignorant to the fact of what this word really means:
The lack of knowledge or awareness of a particular thing.

what are you saying we are all ignorant on some things the problem is we don't always realise what it is we do not know about. it makes sense to me.

ignorant people never recognize their ignorance (maybe for life).
there is no why, and no way to "cure" them.
if you try to "educate" them, you would be in trouble.
let them stay ignorant. its their life.
