It is a misconception that all Jewish men wear the side curls. The only sects of Jews that wear the side curls are Hasidim (or Chasidim), an ultra orthodox sect that prohibits the shaving of men's sideburns higher than the level of their jawbone.

This is tied in with biblical prohibitions against self-mutilation such as tattoos, all-body shaving, piercing etc, as was the custom amongst gentile warriors. The Hassidic long side-curls is this prohibition taken to its extreme.

The Kipa is an important part of Judaica. I think it looks pretty gay, but I try to respect that it's important to Jews. Some Jews may have naturally curly hair, which pokes out the perimeter of the Kipa. Some Jews wear, what I call, a mini-Kipa. It's real small, and looks especially gay.

That is only the Orthodox Jews. Big difference between them and the average Jewish person. The Orthodox Jews are very traditional and are almost like the Amish in the rigidity of their faith but are more open to technology.
