When I play a game such as Medieval:total war 2, some of the character graphics get messed up?

So basically I hav a new nvidia 7800 gt oc with the newest driver. when i play mtw2 and Battle field2142 some of the units in the game get all distorted and the textureson the unit is stretched out and stuff, kinda like a snowflake. Anyone no wut is rong or how to fix it?

Maybe your computer has too many programs and stuff. That's what happened to my warcraft! it's all messed up, I can't enjoy playing! Try to delte some files or re-install it again

try the newest directx. if you already have it, try reinstalling it.
