Night creams are thicker, and they also tend to have a higher vitamin A content which is good for acne, blackheads and wrinkles. But vitamin A also makes the skin more prone to sun burn.

Well I know for anti-aging creams for wrinkles, it is recommended you put it on before going to bed because that ensures that you will have the cream on your face for an entire 7 hours.

You get less sun/dirt-bacteria exposure when you're sleeping. Those creams need to stay on for a while in order for it to work properly.

Night creams are thicker. This is because, when you sleep, your skin absorbs more moisture. The thicker moisturizer adds more moisture. A thin one would be absorbed to quickly.

NEVER apply soap to your face - NEVER!

My mother was a model and she never applied soap to her face. When she was eighty her skin looked fifty. When she passed over, her skin was so beautiful and clear.

I use Oil of Olay to remove my makeup at night.
