Haha . . . the Rutgers are about as far away from making it to the championship game as Arnold Palmer is to making it back to the final round of the Masters. Seriously, you have to play more than one legit team to be considered a contender.

I feel that if Rutgers goes undefeated, (including a victory over WVU- their last game of the season), they deserve a shot at the national title against Michigan or OSU. Yet there are a lot of one loss schools out there; Texas, USC, Auburn, Florida and so on. Unfortunately, we know how the BCS works and those big-name schools always get priority, and it is very possible that a one loss school will go to face Michigan or OSU for the national title and Rutgers would get passed over. If that happens, I will be dissapointed. But I am rooting for them. I'm looking at the schedules for some of the one loss schools and I'm hoping that their is someone who can give them second losses. Like this weekend, Oregon Ducks play USC..and I really think the Ducks can pull this off.
I agree, ..if the BCS gives Rutgers one chance, and I mean one chance at the national title, I know they won't be dissapointed.

I would be surprised if Rutgers made it to the National Championship game even if they remain undefeated. Not only do you have bigger schools out there with more pull, but most of them also had a harder schedule.
For example, Texas would be more deserving of a berth in the big game. Their only loss all season was to #1 Ohio St...the same team they beat in nail-biting fashion last year. Heck, it would be more exciting too as both teams have proven they can win big games against big opponents. Rutgers is still largely unproven.

They proably won't let Rutgers try. They will say that the Big East is too weak, although it wouldn't be if Louisville or WVU or even Pitt was the representive. Simply the name Rutgers means they aren't likely to get the chance even if they earn it. I'd love to see Rutgers get teh chance though.

Yes the critics will go in hibernation into a cave with a bear and turn on the gas because something is wrong with the world. People on the streets will turn into zombies because Rutgers wins the Championship. Be carefull what you ask for my friend. Be carefull.

They won't even be allowed in the Stadium. They probably won't even beat West Virginia. Give it up. You have your first good season in 140 years and you want a trophy. Most likely BCS championship game right now is OSU vs Florida.
Texas has 1 loss to OSU
USC will lose to Notre Dame for its 2nd loss
Michigan has a chance to upset OSU, it'll be close.
Florida is likely to finish with one loss.
Rutgers will have 1 loss by the end of the season.
.
There's an outside chance at a Michigan/OSU rematch if Florida loses another game.

I don't think Rutgers are going to make it to the national championship game. I know that neither Florida and Auburn will loose another game.

Dude, stupid question. Watch PTI, Around the Horn, Sportscenter..anything. Every college expert and writer all say the same thing. THEIR SCHEDULE WAS AND IS TOO WEAK FOR THEM TO DESERVE A TITLE SHOT. You already know this. All of their wins are against opponents averaging a 4-7 record. That is AVERAGE, including Louisville. You do the math. Undefeated does not mean title shot.
