I suppose, but you may be disappointed.

Soulmates aren't just romantic partners, sometimes they are you best friend or a family member and on rare occasions, your enemy. They are souls that you have something to learn from and/or teach to at a particular time in your life or finish up business from a previous incarnation.

Soulmates/twin souls exist, but they mostly exist, in people's imagination, as a romantic/erotic aspect. This is because a twin soul, like a biological twin, comes from a single formed 'parent' soul. That soul then splits and each becomes an individual soul. Both souls together make up the original 'whole' soul, and thus, in the act of consumation, is the sense of 'being whole' realized. Most everything in existence is 'divided' this way, simply because the desire to find 'oneself' mirrors the universal desire of seperate to be whole again. In other words, each person, each animal, each spirit becomes a small metaphor of the larger journey. However, because twin souls are 'destined' to reunite, they do not always come back as 'lovers'. Oftentimes, in order to experience the panorama of relationships, twin souls can reincarnate as any number of different social relationships: parent/sibling, boss/co-worker, even enemy/enemy. After so many lifetimes, the twin souls can feel a 'longing' to re-orient themselves to their original 'equal' selves, and thus incarnate as lovers, often star-crossed, whose life exists as a reminder of their (and the universe's) ultimate destination; eternally together. So even if this lifetime your 'twin' is not meant for you, longing for your 'twin' is part of your ultimate journey, and therefore perfectly normal. As for 'sign's, our deepest longings, our most secret desires, ultimately, our real selves, are the 'glass slippers' that will lead us to the one with whom we fit.
