I'm writing new lyrics for my band. If you go to a concert, what kind of lyrics do you want to hear? Soft and sweet, loud and rough? I need answers?

Lyrics aren't soft and sweet or loud and rough ... the *music* is. (Soft and sweet heavy metal??)

Lyrics can be matched to either music style, so long as the music is good and the lyrics are meaningful, you've got a winning combination that will be well received by your audience.

Just somthing important. If I hear another love song I'll puke, give me somthing bigger then that unless you really have somthing to say about the miracle of love that no one has said before. Somthing well thought out too. Artists think so highly of what they think because they're so screwed up on anything they can fit in a pipe they have a hard time thinking. So when they come up with somthing most people allready know they think it's huge. Hence, most of their songs come out....
"War, people die, I don't like that..."

Just take the chains off and scream what you've had eating at you for your whole life that no one knows or cares about. Try this, If I was God for a day...
Kinda like that as a title too.

don't know- right now I am grooving to malmsteen and there aren't any lyrics. I would have to agree with the other poster..it would depend on the song..you need songs of all kinds..I do not like going to a concert and hearing basically the same song over and over all night long

Everyone needs to hear what comes from the heart, and that is not always soft and sweet, or loud and rough. Speak from your heart, and people will hear through theirs. That is when they will listen.

Everything, just blend it all. At times you wanna dance, then come those songs were you just put your hands up n move em side to side, slowly, and we get those that make us wanna cry and them rough ones which make us want to get up on stage and grab a teat , so just play a little of everything.
Where is your concert by the way?

People like lyrics that are emotional which they can easily relate to given any situation they are in. For example you need lyrics
so you would write about confusion and uncertainty. We love lyrics that have got something to do with our day to day life: love,
poverty, joy, death, luck etc. Good luck to you!
