How do I extricate this fly without calling 911?

If you really wouldn't "kill a fly", I have found, if you open an inside door, the fly will be drawn to the storm door or screen door; you open the screen, and the fly will fly.
If it's at night, turn out all the inside lights, turn on the porch light and chant "go toward the light Carol-Ann". If it goes, you will know the fly was named "Carol-Anne".
If not, I have no answer. Good luck with that, though,

Flies love honey. Drip some of that nectar into a jar, hide and watch .. and when he's head deep in the honey, snap the lid to the jar back on. VOILA!

If you can't bring yourself to execute the little devil, you can always punch holes in the jar lid and let him eat himself to death. Life span of a fly is only a couple of weeks. : )

Hold up both sides of the trousers at an equal height, and GENTLY, try to lower it. You may have to raise it just a bit, but be careful.

get a hairspray, a lighter and makes sure no one is near you, keep the windows open, put the lighter near the opening of the spray, and spray! a mini flamethrower! parental caution advised
