I'm strapped for money so I've been considering selling my guitars since I don't really play them anymore. I was really attached to my guitars; I started playing when I was 9 years old, played in a band in high school, and then when I was in my early twenties I stopped playing. I don't think I've touched one in over a year. Anyway, I have three guitars, do you think I should sell them?
You're probably going to sugest that I keep 1, and sell the other 2. But I don't really want to do that cause I know by having 1 around I'll regret selling the others. And besides, I could really use the money of all 3.

SELL THEM, if you ever feel like jamming you can always find a cheap one. Why keep them to yourself?

I been to Guitar Center a few times and I've seen that they have lots of guitars. But nobody ever sold me a guitar there. Therefore I must conclude that they don't sell them.

Don. You're asking other people and you sound uncertain how you'll respond to the possible outcome of not having them - 'will I miss 'em ? do I need 'em ? one, two all of 'em ? I think it's safe to say you're unsure so, if you really are desperate for cash wouldn't it make sense at least for now, to hold at least ONE back in case. For that matter, while there's an element of doubt perhaps you had best hang on to the lot.

Fact is you could buy other instruments later on when you're more solvent. It isn't necessarily the end of the world.
Good luck

I sold all mine... OK I kept my 4 favourites....
I dunno man... No guitar...I could not a do it.
I'd give up my girlfriend to the man first.

But hey depends on what you have.
I did pretty well on Ebay.
I had a bunch of old Strats I used to use when touring.
(I think I bought them for like 100 bucks back in the day.)
I got around a grand a piece for those beat up old monsters.
Same with my Martin 12 String.
I been around a long time though. The old name brand ones seem to go for a premium.
Make sure you know the going rate for what you have before you sell.
Watch E-bay for a while....

I'm going to suggest you keep them all Don. Been there man. Trust me, you will regret it. Had a cherry red 72 Strat for ages, it sat gathering dust and I sold it. Kick myself everyday since.

Don't sell them. Guitars only go up in value, and as soon as you sell them you will regret it. I sold one of my precious guitars one time and I am still pissed I did it. I loved that thing sooo much. Please don't sell them. If you need cash find other ways to get it.

Don't sell them, especially if they have some sentimental value.

Sell your soul instead. You'll have less regrets later. lol
