Oil Stain on Kitchen Cupboard?

How do I remove an oil stain from a kitchen cupboard - which is a laminate/laminex/plastic style.

First take it off, lay it flat and put some cornstarch and baking soda on it let it set overnight, but once in a while, move it arround a little.(on the stain) that will soak up, and draw out the oil from the cabinet surface.

Dawn detergent, but first blot it with a thirsty paper towel, like Bounty.
