Well you see im a prep. and im a nice person. i think..but most people think preps are mean just cause i wear american eagle and hollister doesnt make me mean..and cause i really dont like dorky people...but thats just me...not really.

Thank the Lord i'm not in high school anymore to be made to deal with people like you. I didn't think preps were mean, I thought they were shallow dopers. You're American Eagle and Hollister are going to be worn out in 3 years, so keep putting all of who you are in what you wear and you'll be with it. WORN OUT. Time is the best revenge and nerds will be your boss one day. I'm living proof. I love to hire the "preps". lol

dude, first of all i doubt people assume you're mean because you wear hollister co or a&e..
however.. people assume preps are mean because.. that's how it's portraited in society on tv, books movies ect..
it's no different then someone sterotyping an african american as being loud or careless or a goth as being lonely and depressed it's all sterotype.. If you ask me I don't think it'll ever change.. sterotyping is human nature.
All you have to do is prove to people you're a prep, yet you're a nice person.
but you might have a tough time running into someone who won't prejudge you as being a stuck up prep.

The people in your age group and school probably read "wealthy" as well as "studious" or "nerd" when associating people with the word "prep". I think you should be less concerned with these labels, and be more focussed on whether or not you are able to help your community in some way. You don't have to make friends with the whole world, but the more you speak up and share your moments with just anyone around you, the more at peace you'll feel with what people think of you.

because a lot of preps are really stuck up and diva. they change over time, but that's just how middle school is. see, i was sympathetic to your cause until the last sentence or so. you don't like dorky people, and you show it well. and i can tell you're pretty into yourself. you only think you're a nice person. what others think of you may be a whole different ball game.

You walk around the halls with your nose all up in the air, and when you're out of school, those dorks are the rich ones, and you "preps are still living with your parents or working for them, and after kids...ha ha you will see! I never had to wear American Eagle to be special...I'm hot in a toga,and I talked to everyone, I was voted most versatile,and I'm glad I was never that shallow. Time will tell you the story!

prep arent mean, most of them are gay and we know gay people are the nicest people there are. Talk to some pissed off gang members, thats who is mean
