Cruise and Holmes don't believe in the same religions, but they are willing to try. One of my friends said that if someone marries someone else with a different religion, that marriage would be doom from the start already. he even said that it is a sign of the apolocalyse... though that is way too extreme. Do you think these two would last? or are their marriage already doomed because of different religions?

They never lasted before, why should they start now? Cruise with his new fab Scientology, is looked upon like a fool with his bouncing all over the stage raving about it, meanwhile fans are starting to wonder about him and his actions... He's no longer some hot boy... He's now an idiot!
Holmes, at least keeps it to herself. But seeing her "eye contact" in Cruises' direction, you can tell she's not at all impressed...

I really believe that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will eventually get divorced or break up. I have no idea when but I would bet money on it. I don't think it will have much to do with them not being the same religion. I'm sure Tom Cruise's next girlfriend will be younger than Katie Holmes. Can't he date someone his own age?

I don't think it will fall apart because of religion(well maybe a little)..but more than that , it will probably fall apart because he is a control freak....well according to tabloids (which you can't always believe ..but still....)
It has been said on the radio that the wedding was delayed because Tom kept bugging all the designers to see Katie's wedding dress ....well to see the design because he wanted to make sure the dress was going to be "Appropriate"
What ??? The girl is incapable of picking out her own wedding dress ??? How demeaning is that ? sheesh poor woman can't even suprise him on their wedding day with the dress, because he has to have a whole treatise on how the dress should look....and "Approve " it .....that would drive me insane , I'm glad I'm not marrying him...give me Ashton or Johnny (Depp) any day of the week.

Well l think that all depends on how much give and take there is in the marriage. Sometimes it can cause big problems, but if they are willing to accept each others beliefs, then they have as much chance as the next person to make it.

Yes, their marriage is doomed. Regardless of their religous affiliations their marriage will fail because that seems to be the end result of just about any other celebrity marriage.

I wasn't aware that they did have a difference of religion... and i wouldn't hold much stock in what your friend says, people marry all the time that have a difference in religion

The only religious troubles I could see would be if one tried to pressure the other into converting, or if there was pressure for baby Suri (I don't know how to spell the kids name) to be part of one religion.

If the marriage collapses, it will be from the pressure of fame.

Don't believe everything you read in the tabloids.
Me and my husband have different religions and we have been married 10 years.
