I have always been told to use Boric Acid. They have it in the chemical isle at Wal-mart.

Clean. Sounds silly especially if u think u are the cleanest person. Simple little things can attract roaches.. crumbs, something spilt under the fridge, food/trash outside your doors..etc. to get rid of roaches without using chemicals id suggest cleaning your kitchen and bathrooms ( roaches tend to stay where theres food and they also prefer dark and moist places, bathrooms have moister and its usually not the most lit room in the house) clean every dish so theres isnt any at any given time, wipe counters , take out trash.

also other things cause roach infestations.. wet leaves in roof gutters or on window seals outside, rotting wood outside, etc. check for this as well.

if u dont have problems with the above, and dont want to buy chemicals.. there are baits u can use .. roach motels etc. i recoomend Raid. they work as well and cost less with no worries of children or pets getting them . they stick to walls too so u can easily put them under a drawer and kids/pets wouldnt see.

Well, it's a chemical but a harmless one. Boric acid scattered loosely around the base boards and under cabinets and in runs works without poisoning anything. I'm told it actually cuts the roaches and make them bleed, sort of, from the crystals on there feet as they "clean" themselves. Don't know if that's true but it will rid your home of roaches.

Take a large can and rub cooking oil all around the inside. The cockroaches will crawl in but can't crawl out. I hate those things!!

Borax. It is found the laundry detergent aisle. Click on the site above on how to make your own roach killer. This is how my grandmother taught me to get rid of those icky creatures. But before you put out the "bait" CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!! Pull out the fridge, the stove, the inside of your cabinets, counter tops, under the sink, and that stinky trash can. Anything that has been opened like cereal, crackers or cookies toss them out. The roaches may have been in there and laid eggs. Make sure your foods are in sealed containers like Tupperware, Rubbermaid food storage or sealed plastic bags to keep them out. I know the recipe for the roach killer calls for powdered sugar, but this is used to fool the roaches into eating it.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects.
You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them.

An actual obtainable product for ants is "Terro Ant Killer". A drop or 2 located on the offered cardboard tabs will charm to the ants which will then carry the product back to the nest the place this is going to kill all of them. It incorporates Borax for killing the ants. a answer of Borax in water could be sprayed around cabinet bases and partitions for roaches.
