My brother had this problem..it turned out he had a dried black olive stuck back in his nose and it that was causing it. It had gotten stuck back there when he coughed while eating some (he didn't push it up there). A foreign object lodged in the back of your nose may or may not be your problem. You may want to look into allergies..I know Post Nasal Drip can cause burning in the throat. I doubt it's anything serious, but you should probably check with a doctor just to be on the safe side.

It could possibly be a scratch or broken blood vessel. Sometimes it can be so minute you wouldn't notice any blood, but it can still be painful. If it persist, I would see a doctor.Other than what I mentioned, I don't know what else it could be.
