I don't have any preferred musician, but I'd like to learn the cello, the harp, or the bag pipes.
Woe to the person I'm with if I hear bag pipes being played in the park. I immediatly set off in their direction.

When I was a kid, I wanted to learn how to play guitar. My folks balked but they allowed me to learn piano. Well, I can now play bass lines, rhythm, lead lines and still be able to sing. Ive play solo gigs from bookstores to fine restaurants to weddings AND in bands from clubs to casino. (Down side - heavy equipment and women still prefer falling in love with the guitar players.)
