its ancient, yet modernized.. It is highly fashionable. It is considered the Paris of the Middle East due to all the high modern fashion there, TV studios, night life, tourism intermerging with the old..
Dubai is fast catching up though.

Saudi Arabia is a mystical country, filled with tradition. Weddings in Saudi Arabia are important family events, marking the end of one period in your lives, and the beginning of another. During the ceremony, the groom will present his bride not only with a wedding ring, but also other jewelry such as earrings and bangles.

Saudi Arabia is known for its deserts, and the dramatic scenery of its mountain range in the west. This extensive landscape is punctuated with oases, superb archaeological sites and ultramodern cities.

The high tech capital is Riyadh, which alongside its countless gleaming hotels and skyscrapers is home to many museums. The old center of the city remains, including the Al-Thumairi Gate. 20 miles north stands Saudi Arabia's former capital city, Dir'aiyah. Its palaces, mosques and city wall have been reconstructed, and an enjoyable day can be spent exploring the ruins.

The coastal city of Jeddah is known as the 'Paris of Arabia' for its excellent museums and beautiful architecture. The three old city gates have been rebuilt, and many vibrant markets extend throughout the city.

Mecca is the ultimate destination for followers of Islam, although it is not possible for non-Muslims to visit. The relaxed summer capital of Taif, located in the mountains above Mecca, is open to all.

Close to the border with Yemen in the southwest lies the town of Najran. Set in an oasis, Najran is strongly influenced by Yemeni culture and is well worth seeing for its palace, fort and collection of excellent museums.

Saudi Arabia is a country where tradition and modernity stand side by side. A wedding in this dramatic country will be an unforgettable experience.
