Hello

I've got a USB external drive attached to my system using an old enclosure. It is quite slow.

How can I very if this connection is USB 2 or USB 1.1

If it is quite slow it is probably USB 1. Can verify by specifications in back of users guide. Or on the box it came in when new. 'Or call the manufacturer. Also the faster USB ports didn't become standard till about 3 yrs ago i think.

it should be old PC with 1.1 USB , new USB drives especially Ipod do not get logged with old USB , I changed a USB 2 support card , never worked ,so changed PC in the end.
