ive had alot of bettas (japanese fighting fish) and i love them. they are bery beautiful fish. they are very territorial and u cannot put 2 males in the same tank. u can put a betta in a tank with any kind of fish as long as none of the other fish have "pretty tails." he must have the biggest prettiest, most colorful tail in the tank (keep in mind personalities may vary). if u plan to mate a male and female, u have to watch them while they are together because the male will pick on her alot. its a part of the "getting to know" process. just be sure he doesnt get violent with her. bettas LOVE aquatic plant life. those plastic things are fine, but what a betta really loves are live under water plants. it gives them a place to hide and provides comfort. and the best thing about bettas, is if u have a tight bugdet, u dont have to worry about providing air if they are alone. buy them a special betta vase, some pretty stone, a live under water plant and ur good to go! be sure to provide lots of luv and attention!

I think you mean Siamese Fighting fish right? The are refured to as Breeding Bettas, but more commonly know as Bettas. (Even thought they aren't true Bettas.) They are very colorful and known to be aggressive. The live about 6 years and are about 6 cm long. They are very popular and are very flexible when it comes to enviroment. If they are given tank mates (not other males), they must be in a large tank. They are carnivorous, but can eat some plant life. They like slow-moving warm water.
I hope I gave you some valuble info. :)

Stuffed fish recipe made with fish fillets and seasoned bread crumb stuffing.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 to 2 pounds fish fillets
salt
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
1 teaspoon dried leaf sage, crumbled
4 cups dry bread, cut or torn into 1/4-inch pieces
butter
chopped parsley
lemon wedges, optional
PREPARATION:
Cut fish into strips. Line well-greased muffin tins with fish strips; sprinkle with salt. In a small skillet, saute onion and celery in butter until just tender. Combine vegetable butter mixture with 1 teaspoon salt, pepper, sage, and bread cubes. Add a little hot water if stuffing seems too dry. Dot the top of each stuffing center with a little butter then sprinkle with chopped parsley. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.
Serves 6.

Bettas are interesting fish to look at because of their bright colors and long flowing fins. They prefer special pellets, they usually won't touch flake food. Put 2 in a tank with a special divider (2 males) and watch them spread their fins and attempt to get at each other (males are very hostile with each other) but please don't put them together with nothing separating them. Change 1/3 of their water once a week, and remember they require very little space and no special filtration or gravel changing. Enjoy!

they love warm water ,they come from china, the male is the one with the bigger tail, the female has the little one, they are really true survivors, you can put a plant in their tank, but be care full, that may poison them, when they mate ,the male is the one who takes care of the "eggs",and you should remove the female after they mate ,otherwise the male can kill her, they like shrimps,in china you can find them in the rice "fields",so they are not salt water fishes, however they are really easy to maintain

They are pretty easy to take care of. They don't really like the balls. Mine really like the sun-dried blood worms. They gobble them up. Change water 1 time a week. MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE WATER SITTING OUT 24 HOURS BEFORE PUTTING IN TANK! That gets out the chlorine, because it will kill them.
