This definately sounds like a side effect or withdrawal symptom. Congratulations on giving up this drug. I would suggest you let your body regulate itself drink plenty of water and seek medical attention if this is affecting your daily living as sleep deprivation can. Good Luck

It will take a little while but you will sleep again. Your body is trying to adjust to the change. I have had insomnia since I was 2 years old (really) I have been given every medication on the market and tried every home remedy. Try hot chamomile tea really strong no sugar. You can also try hot honey & lemon with a shot (one shot) of wiskey it will make you sleepy. Good luck & Good Night :)

dont worry mate youll be ok it just takes a bit of time, i was adddicted to heroin and valium and now im clean, it wasnt easy but im glad now. i smoked cannabis for nearly 20 years and decided enough was enough and now i dont even smoke a benson (for 18 months). you will want a spliff its normal youve been stoned for the last 6 years, its up to you just how much you want to stop, your sleeping pattern will return to normal and you will feel better. you should also live longer. good luck.

That's typical.
Just bear with it for a while.
Try a routine now of going to bed a little earlier and reading for a while. That works ofr nearly everyone that after a while of reading you get really sleepy.
A useful routine and one that'll get those brain cells working together again.

First off, congratulations...that's not easy to do. Secondly, below is an article regarding "marijuana withdrawal syndrome" which can last for several days to several weeks.
You've just given up one addictive substance....I wouldn't suggest replacing it with more drugs and/or alcohol - but that is up to you.

You should probably try a bong or a pipe. Or, a brownie. I always find myself REALY tired after eating a pot brownie. A good trip man, but tires you after.

get used to it--life without illegal substances--I mean.
go get a prescription for Zoloft or Xanax--the legal mood enhancers.
for sleep--cut out caffeine after 6pm and try some relaxation breathing techniques
