There is ALWAYS a chance of getting pregnant, even while you are bleeding. If you are worried about getting pregnant then you should always use birth control.
That being said, if you have a moral objection to birth control, the 8th day of a 30-41 day cycle would be a day on which you are not LIKELY to get pregnant. Better safe than sorry, though!
