depends on what you mean by "use" if it is a video file with the extension .mp4 download K-Lite Codec Pack from http://free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm and you can play the video. there is also mp4 audio. or maybe your talking about an ebay "mp4" player (nano clone) i dunno

It's an audio and video format, cousin of mp3.

It is a lot like a mp3 but you need Itunes or somthing that will reconize it to play it.
