Get a good plunger and try to clear any blockage. Work it good, your leak may increase, that's O.K. If you can remove any blockage the next step will be much less messy. Turn off the water supply and evacuate as much water from the bowl as possible (with the plunger).
Now loosen the bolts that hold it to the floor and gently raise the commode from its resting place. Use a putty knife to remove the wax ring from the floor flange (you will need to purchase a new wax ring $1.00 to $3.00).
Place the wax ring over the flange, I know the manufacturer says to put it on the base of the bowl but that doesn't work. It tends to fall off when lowering the bowl and loose center 'cause you can't see what's going on down there.
Carefully replace the bowl to find center and sit on it to seat the wax ring. If your bowl is clear, you should have no more leaks.

The seal is bad. There is a wax ring that seals the toilet base to the pipe in the floor. If you are handy, it's not that difficult to change it. It all depends on how old the toilet is, and how much water damage has occurred to the floor. If it's been leaking for some time, you may have to repair the floor and install new hold down studs. If you have another toilet in the house, and you are ambitious, remove the toilet and inspect the floor. If it's still solid and the studs are OK, then just replace the wax ring and install the toilet. Just make sure that you don't over tighten the nuts. You don't want to crack the porcelain.

it is an easy fix turn off the water at the valve to the left of toilet base flush toilet and get as much water out of the bowl as possible remove water supply to left of toilet under tank take off the nuts on each side of toilet take tank cover off and set aside so it will not get broken lift toilet straight up and set aside the problem was caused because the wax seal was broken remove all the old seal on pipe on floor and or under toilet at a home improvement store buy a wax ring with horn and a set of toilet bolts to fasten to floor remove old bolts install new bolts put wax ring in place on floor and reverse dissassembly as simple as that do not tighten nut/bolt combo to much it could break base

i dont know if you can fix it without taking the whole of the topilet out offf the floor..i think you will need a plumber to mend the leak...if you do try to do it yourself...turn off the water fist...undo the bolts or whatever is holding the toilet down..and take a look...

There is a seal at the base. It is made of Beaswax. It is probably old and cracked. You can unhook the toilet and pick the toilet up off of that seal and replace it.
