An instructor predicts that a student's test grade will be proportional to the amount of time the student spends studying. What is meant by this? Write an example of a proportion that involves the grades of the two students and their study times.

Example: G = 10s
where G = grade (0-100)
and s = study time (in minutes)

Suppose a test is so easy, if you take 10 minutes to study you will get all 10 questions correct and make 100.

So if you only study 5 minutes, you should score half that, or 50.

So G (grade) = 10 x s (study time in minutes)

Your grade is proportional to the number of minutes you study.
==================
Another Example:
For two students A and B, if
A spends 60 minutes studying
B spends 20 minutes studying

If A makes a 90, and their grades are proportional by study time,
then B would make a 30, since B studied 1/3 as long.

60/90 = 20/30
60:90 = 20:30

G x (2/3) = s

Grade x 2/3 = Study time
or Study time x 3/2 = Grade

using the potential-extremes product theorem, you may go-multiply, ending up with (w+14)(4)=(4w+6)(3) multiplying it out... 4w+fifty six = 12w+18 flow the variables to a minimum of one part and the constants to the different 38 = 8w divide 38/8 = w
