I mean, George Washington believed in freedom and all that but I understand he even had slaves.
Why was George Washington Carver named after him? And are the rest named after the president washington or mr. Carver?
Now, Thomas Paine was different. He was one of the founding fathers against slavery. I believe it was said that he even endorsed completely liberating afroamericans.
Why are more people not named after him.
