Is it thick and strong enough to store valuables in and keep the "Average" crook out. (Not professional crooks) I hear they can open most anything given enough time. Oh, by the way this is one of those safes that only opens with the owners fingerprint.(Biometrics) Thanks :)

yes it is way stronger than mild steel. and it is about 1/8 inch thick

12 gage is 12 gage about .038 of an inch thick . some stainless is of lessor quality while some sheet steel is better ,plate steel is usually better.
That should keep most out if well built structurally.It wont be firesafe.

the strength is exactly the same....stainless means it wont rust easily
