I used to have the same problem all around my nose and cheekbones. I have found that a combination of products work for. Here is what i do that helps. I use Neutrogena acne wash ($4) then I put witch hazel($1) on a cotton pad and swipe my whole face, paying special attention to the area where the black heads are. Lastly, I use a moisturizer which contains Cocoa butter($1). the witch hazel is most essential since it closes your pores quickly. Try it and see if it works, you can get all the products for about $6 at Target. If it doesn't you're not even out ten bucks! Good luck!

You may want to try a toning / astringent bar. I recommend the freshly squeezed lemonade or juicy orange bar from Breezy Beach Wear. Both are made with real lemons and oranges - both of which work as a natural toner and gentle exfoliant. These bars also have olive oil in them to help moisturize so the citric acid doesn't dry skin out.
These bars can only be purchased online at www.breezybeachwear.com
Just click on "beachy clean."

You also mught consider picking up a pore minimizing moisturizer

Sorry, I have the same problem and I've done everything to try to get rid of them. I've cut down on them, but I think for people like us, it's impossible to get rid of all of them unless you go to a dermatologist who does laser treatments. I've even had facials and they get some of them, but not all. I'm so jealous of people who don't do a thing and don't have blackheads! But keep washing your face every morning and night, use oil-free & hypoallergenic moisturizer, use a face scrub or exfoliating cloth every other day (focusing on your nose, I use St. Ives apricot scrub and Aveeno exfoliating cloths), and use your pore strips every week. I agree, be careful of exfoliating too much. But I've done a lot of research and it really depends on your skin, and everyone's is different. Good luck!

There are a couple things that can cause this. One, if you have just started this regiment, switching from a prior treatment, the same ingredient used to make your old treatment is in your new one, and that is certainly not going to make a difference if your skin just won't change with a certain chemical. Or, two your skin rejects the new chemical altogether and does nothing to change. A suggestion is to check the labels of different treatments and see what kinds of chemicals they contain before you purchase a new treatment. Some formulas work for some skins and some do not.

What works for me is the black head strips if used correctly. try steaming your face and splashing it with very warm water to get the pores open, then put the strip on. It works great for me, it get's a lot of them out. I think you are exfoliating too much also, and by using so many products it's just clogging your pores even more rather than cleaning them. simmer down with products, and get a facial they can clear your blackheads out!!

Use pads or lotions containing salicic acid ( at least 2%) which can cause drying of the skin but use it frequently as you can.
