when i have a sore throat i always try this:
1. hot tea ( hot as you can stand it) with real lemon juice and honey... now if you are singing i would do one cup of hot tea with lemon and then before one with honey.
2. gargling with warm salt water helps too.
but the first option works pretty good. i do number 2 when i just want a quick remedy for the moment to gargle. i preferably do it in the morning.
3. at night put some vapor rub on your chest and neck then wrap a towel covering your neck.
4.REST REST REST
5. TALK AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE. rest your vocal chords and just get as much r and r as you can for your big day on monday, so you don't have much time to get on it.
good luck.... and those should work because when i use those then my sore throat or hoarseness and it doesn't stay around for long.. and just keep that routine with the tea up to right before your contest. have a insulated mug of tea you can chug or sip during your prep time. Good luck to whatever you're doing on monday.

Try drinking a tea- made out of ginger. Boil 300 ml of water and add ginger on it. Pour some sugar and drink it. This could help recover your voice.

Try honey. Honey really helps. take like a teaspoon of it every few hours. And right before your contest.
