No no no No NO. The best time of month to get pregnant is typically about 14 days before your period starts. But trying to prevent pregnancy by avoiding sex during your most fertile times is a very challenging process requiring daily monitoring of your temperature and cervical mucus.. and there are plenty of babies who were conceived when their moms thought they weren't fertile. Use condoms or the birth control pill if you aren't ready to be pregnant.

You can get pregnant at any time in your cycle, some times it is more likely to happen.
And, having your first period/starting to menstrate is an entirely separate process from begining to ovulate. These two things do not start at the same time for girls. Thus, one girl may be ovulating but has never started menstrating and another girl may be having periods but may not yet be ovulating. So, girls that have never had a period can still get pregnant. If you don't want to get pregnant always use a condom.

I don't know why people say 'fall' pregnant, it's not like you're on a horse and some sperm shoots you off and you fall to the ground. they people who say fall pregnant usually use the word fall 2-3 times in their post, like they just like saying fall pregnant or something
Yes you have to have 'started' you're period, meaning that your reproductive system is cycling. but when you are 'on' your period, meaning bleeding, you can't get pregnant. you are really only fertile 3-4 days before and after you ovulate, which is approx 2 weeks after your period.

No, you have to be about to have your period. In other words the conditions in your uterus must be receptive to the union of the egg and sperm. This is generally 1 to 2 weeks before your "period".

No you do not have to be on your period to get pregnant. There is a possibilty, even though its not as high as when you're not on your period, to get pregnant

No. In fact, you're probably less likely to then, 'cause your released egg wasn't fertilized, therefor your uterus sheds its lining in preparation for the next possible impregnation. You can however get pregnant at any time in your cycle.
