Because styrofoam is dry it is easier to use than paper mache or clay that can get messy. You may have to use wire to connect the pieces together.
Also Wal-Mart or hardware stores sell spray paint that looks like stone texture, including the speckled look. If you are under 18 you may need an adult to buy for you. It is more expensive than flat spray paint but it will quickly turn your styrofoam to stone.
(Requires 24 hours drying time so it does not peel or smear. So don't wait until the day before your deadline.)

maybe you go to an art & crafts store or even a fabric store and get some blocks (square) of styrofoam. and maybe some grey paint. You can shape them into the likeness of stonehenge on a platform. Maybe a glue gun or even straight pins to fasten them together. Good Luck!!

Try small square or rectangular card board boxes or Styrofoam. Styrofoam may be the best to capture the ridges in the stone and to paint.

When I did somthing like that I used the like 1/8 inch craft foam that is sold at craft stores. It is rather cheep and you can make 3-D models of things like that easily.

I would use clay. I don't really know what else you could use aside from paper mache.
