Some of the world's greatest chefs have been men -- Escoffier, for example. Some of the world's worst cooks are men - for example, 90% of married men who couldn't put a decent dinner together to save their lives.
The question of who is the better cook calls for generalizations, and that's a foolish place to go. Some men are great cooks, others aren't. Some women are great cooks, others aren't.
On the whole, most cooking is done by women, because that is the way family labor is customarily divided.

Both!! Back a long time ago Men did the hunting and women did the cooking. When Men went off to war Women did the cooking. Back in the western days when Men went off together to drive cattle they did cooking over the open fire. Unsuallly they didn't have Women there to cook for them unless the whole family was together. When it came to Chefs it started out as Men. Now just as many women are Chefs as well as men. At onetime men were conbsidered stupid and couldn't cook. If you watch the foodnetwork at all you will find that you have from Rachael Ray to Paula Dean to Emeril Lagasse to Bobby Flay (If I spelled his name right). The best cook is the one who cooks food with love in their heart, our food carries the energy of the person who prepares it, my wife tells me i am the best cook and i think she is the best cook, so sex does not determine who is the best at creating a meal.

Men! lol...my grandpa was such a good cook, my boyfriend!! and I have several guy friends who are good cooks...they are just lazy! but they should be the ones cooking at home for everybody lol

Both, in my house! We have a house rule, whoever cooks , the other does the dishes and it's great!

All I can say is that by and large it's the women who do most of the cooking in this world we live in....but the great chef's of the world are all men.....lol.....where are they when you need them............
