Probably not a good thing to be taking vicodin when you're pregnant. There are a ton of things you shouldnt consume. Would you give a new born vicodin? I'm gonna guess that if it's only been taken once it's not going to do too much long term damage. However if youre addicted to the pills, please get help. If not for you then for the unborn baby. The pills are probably prescribed for an adult, not a baby. Think of what Vicodin does to your body. Now think about whats it doing to an unborn baby's body. Not a good idea....and definatly something that shouldn't be taken when pregnant unless your doctor prescribes it and is monitoring you and the baby very closely, and i think it would be only in serious cases.

I get severe migraine headaches and take Vicodin when they get very unbearable. My neuroligist told me that Vicodin causes blood vessles to expand and constrict and can be very harmful to the baby. Especially in the first trimester. The safest time to take anything is in the 2 trimester. You need your Drs advise please don't go by what the people on this answer.

It's a Class C drug according to the FDA (I used to be a drug court probation officer/counselor) so it's really unknown what could happen. I have heard of it being used mildly during pregnancy...but only during certain stages so that it doesn't harm the baby. I am pretty sure that it can pass to breast milk, as well.
