I am sure Afghanistan is equally beautiful. Ofcourse, India is fabolous for a holiday. And I just want to add, I wish a day comes when I can go to Afghanistan for a vacation :-)
As you may know, both were one country before the British came !

It would really depend on how long your holiday is and what you call a holiday. If your idea of a holidays is a relaxing time in a clean and expensive resort, India may not be the place for you. If you go in for adventure, excitement, history, culture and religion, the hustle and bustle of India is probably a great place to go. Thats not saying India wouldn't have nice resorts and that type of thing but in my mind if you went to India it would be to enjoy the new and different things they would have there. Really, in the end, where you go for your holiday will depend on your budget and what type of a person you are. If you do go there though could I suggest consulting your doctor on what type of diseases you should get immunized against, ones that you could catch there. And the needle for stomach bugs is always a good one to get, not much spoils a holiday like sickness. Have fun.

Yes, its a terrific place for a complete vacation, never mind the crowd, the beggars, the bad public transport, the taxidrivers who cheat, the lack of hygiene in public places. poverty, bad civic sense, traffic indiscipline etc. There are great beaches, super countryside, fantastic hill-stations, exciting wildlife sanctuaries, ayurvedic spas, historic places, temples, palaces, ancient caves. It all depends from where you come. If you are coming from the west then everything will be inexpensive. You can stay at top world class hotels for less than US$150. And believe me they are top class. People in India are very friendly and warm. You have to be careful in some places in North India as there have been cases where lady travellers have got into serious trouble. Wear proper clothes, respect the local traditions, take help of your hotel for local travels, get yourself a good reputed travel agency to make your arrangements and you are safe. Have a great holiday. Singapore, Hong Kong are boring. China is exciting.

India is the place to end any search. Do you know colombus searched for India and landed in USA. Then the feather heads called Red Indians.
Let me come to your point, there are number of things to enjoy in India based on a persons wish and interest.
Temples and palace for building and architecture
Beaches and hill stations for relaxation
Forests and many zoological gardens for real wildlife adventures
Each state in India to learn many culture and people

yes, India is a country having lots of beauty, different but interesting culture, good people, and many more.
perhaps my mind is not so creative so i can not tell how is my India. but u can feel India when u come here.
it would be an amazing experience to come here for holiday.
number of foreigners are coming here to feel relax.
u can visit the Rajsthan, which has beautiful, huge palaces, it contains the story of kings and all that.
Kerala, the city of God. Kashmir, Taj Mahal, Goa, ....
i want to tell u much more about India, but i dont have words.
i can just tell u come India and know it your self.

yes, India is good for holiday's vacation because in India many historical places,religious places & the most important thing is it have heaven of earth kashmir.India have a good weather & safety in comparison to other countries.

Well it's your own opinion since you are the one paying for the trip.
I do not know if India is a good place for vacation as i didn't go there before.
But i think every country has its own uniqueness.
I think Singapore is a nice place for vacation :) ( well i live here.)
You will discover lots of new things i supposed.

Yes,India is good for holiday vacation. Here you can see different kinds of culture. There are so manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy varieties of food.there are so many BEACH'S .The best place for beaches is GOA.
