EMO means EMOtoinally hardcore. emo was first a sub genre of rock starting in the 70s. now its a style, a way of life, and can be a genre of music. most people who are emo are very emotional, can be different, and maybe punky. they sometimes are loners. giggle... emos are cool...

I hate emo kids lol ^_^
When they're emotional or sad or depressed, they take it out by cutting themselves with a shapr object. They're kids or people who cut themselves when they're depressed.

its short for emotional...and basically its people who listen to emo-style music and slit their wrists...they also wear black and red and wear heavy black or red eyeliner...hope this answers ur question!
