I have a subscription to a baby magazine and I have heard that it is the most affective way to induce labor bc it makes your body produce a labor inducing agent called oxytocin, similar to pertussin. Any way good luck and congratulations

Nipple stimulation worked for me. It took a few days with 30 minutes here and there for two kids. My labor also was very quick with each child. Four hours of active labor for the first and one hour of active labor for the second. Also, what I thought were BH contractions the day I went into labor for each child were actually "true" contractions, just pain free! Good luck and keep at it.

Nipple stimulation is more effective when your baby is already ready to come out. For example restarting a stalled labor or inducing labor when you are 41 weeks.

At 38 weeks your baby may not be ready to come out yet, so it may not work for you.

You know it's funny--I tried that with my first pregnancy. I stimulated my nipples on and off for about two days, and then the third day I went into labor. I don't know if it was coincidence, or if it actually worked.

I tried it with my second one actually... I did it like it says and nothing really happened. I have like little contractions but nothing that would do anything. But I think I tried it on and off for four weeks and nothing. I was ten days late and that was only because my doctor actually had me induced. But I heard that it has worked on some people! So you gotta keep trying it!

very helpful with my 1st baby, during sex though. during sex a month b4 my due date, my husband was stimulating my nipples and she was born latter that night. stimulation of the nipples causes contractions of the utterus JUST WHAT U WANT also you can let the watter it your nipples in the shower.

hmm it didn't do a darn thing for me. I had BH contractions A LOT...but my son didn't come until he was good and ready. I'm not sure how long it takes to work though.
