How big is the file? I bought a 1 GB thumb drive for $25 You can get 4GB models if you are willing to spend more.

Networks are not hard, but the computers need to be in the same workgroup. Check that, it iS a very common mistake.

Are you familiar with the file explorer? If you right click on a folder, you can set it to be sharable. If you did that to a folder on your laptop, you should be able top copy files to it.

You have two choices, backup the file to more than one CD then restore that to the laptop. the other choice is to use DATA cable you connect that in the back of the PC and in the back of the laptop and transfer the file to the laptop.

Hm i do no longer be conscious of while you're finding for some thing like that, yet once you're utilising MS Outlook version 2003 on the two your desktops you need to use the lookeen backup supervisor to circulate your Outlook archives to your new computer. i do no longer think of even nonetheless which you will circulate each and every of the calendar courses with the LBM. in simple terms attempt it, that's for loose and it won't injury your computer this is for useful.
