How do I convert AAC Audio files to MP3?

I'm trying to add some music files to my phones MP3 player, but the files are from my iTunes and are in AAC Audio format, anyone have any clues as to how I change this?

in iTunes, go to Edit>Preference>Advanced Tab>Importing Tab
in 'import using', select mp3 then click 'OK'

Select the songs you want to convert in in iTunes and rightclick & select 'convert selection to mp3'.

Look for the mp3 songs in your iTunes folder (probably under My Music Folder) and transfer to your phone.
