Don't know where he was born but he went to high school in Columbus, Ohio and he is an American citizen.

Indeed, he grew up (at least partly) in Columbus, Ohio. My uncle went to the same school as he, which was Northland High School on the north end of Columbus. I remember seeing him in one of the yearbooks.
