Employers are begging for people where I live. Are you sure you aren't being too picky about a job? Have you considered moving? How about upgrading your job skills?
Since nobody knows where you live it would be difficult to tell you how to apply for a public handout. It differs from place to place.

You go to your nearest Dept of Human Services. The only criteria to be eligible to receive aid is having a child under the age of 18 that is attending school. The next thing that is looked at is deprivation, appears you meet that if you are unemployed. Each state is different but in Ca you could potentially be aided for up to five years as long as you are willing to participate if welfare to work activities.

Sorry about your situation I have had the same trouble before you need to go to your to your local state office building (SRS Building) get an application fill it out they let you take it home with you but do it there. I don't know how long the process takes where you live but it tells you on the cash it takes 45 days and foodstamps it takes 30 days to receive it really never takes that long but if it does actually does take a month or so to get to you they go back to the date you put in the application so if it takes a month to get you in for a interview with a case worker when you receive your benifits you will get two months at one time for the month you turned in the application and the month you actually start receiving the benifits. Good luck and I hope it helps!!

i turn right into a welfare caseworker for some years. Welfare is meant to be short-term emergency information for people in choose for--till the governments created a monster with it. no remember in case you would be eligible for information on your province or state relies upon on community legislations and regulations. Your worker will often advise a pupil very own loan instead to welfare, and you may wager that (while you're single) welfare will flow after baby help on your behalf as a condition of information. while you're married or residing in a marriage-like dating (no remember if or no longer this is legally referred to as elementary regulation), you and your important different will ought to prepare as a pair along with his income taken into consideration.

Go to the department of human services in your town/ county.Call the police department non emergency # and ask for the social worker, they can help you. First ask your unemployment rep. they can probably give you a list of agencies that can help you. I've been in that position not too long ago. Now my daughter is 21 in Arizona and have a baby of her own(of course now she's getting state assistance. So you see everybody goes threw hard times. GOOD LUCK! AND CHEER UP!

Food stamps at Dept of Human services. You'll have to drive to their office and fill out a form and turn it in and wait for them to mail you an appointment. Or you can sit there all day waiting to maybe get in that day or for an appointment to come back. Save time, turn it in and go home.
Also,Try this, it's free to play and you can hit the 1,000,000 jackpot.

If you are unemployed, then (please pardon my bluntness) why aren't you out LOOKING for a job instead of sitting on Yahoo!Answers? Ok, even though you probably don't like the idea, working at fast food will provide a pay check, even though it may not be as big as you'd like, but it should help cover some of the bills. Or factory work.

The first step would be to go to your local Human Services' Department. Get and fill out application. The 500.00 will most likely work against you!!

Go to your local mall - with Christmas coming, almost every store is hiring Christmas help. You don't "have" to apply for welfare -
However, you might want to get free / reduced cost lunches for your kids - that will help.
